EcoImpact is a scaleable project that restores mangroves and other coastal ecosystems while uplifting vulnerable families. By providing immediate relief and economic benefits to low income families, the project strengthens community engagement and creates vital financial streams to sustain the restoration efforts.
The mangrove ecosystem along Tudor Creek has suffered severe degradation, now standing as a secondary forest, natural recovery to levels pre-1990s is slow or unlikely without active interventions. Moreover, existing restoration efforts are rarely community-centred, overlook root causes of decline and fail to offer sustainable long-term solutions.
